It is an old barn used to house a herd of sheep. It was this farm which gave its name to the property, "the Borie" being the stone hut of the shepherd and who could shelter during his périgrinations (always leaving a little wood for the next). She has subsequently served for breeding cows before becoming a pottery artist who "emigrated" in Paris and very much regret its beautiful Lot.
Then there are the English who began to renovate the barn into a dwelling. Their project was never successful, and eventually it became a comfortable and spacious cottage with a very large living room that is kitchen.
